With Team India journey of continuing their dominating run in the ongoing series in Sri Lanka in Pallekele on Wednesday, Jasprit Bumrah Indian bowlers did well to restrict Sri Lanka to a score of 236/8 despite a 91-run stand for the 6th wicket.
Virat Kohli had won the toss and opted to bowl and his bowlers didn’t disappoint the skipper.
Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers for the men in blue with his impressive spell of 4-43 in his quota of 10 overs. He also registered his third best bowling spell in ODIs. He delivered those toe-crushing yorkers in the slog overs and restricted the Islanders to a low score.
Bumrah dismissed Lankan batsman Chamara Kapugedera with a scintillating yorker in the 47th over. With that delivery, he proved why he’s the King of the death overs. In this case, Kapugedera tried to make some room outside off and dig it out, but he missed the delivery completely, as it crashed into the stumps.
