The former New Zealand skipper, Brendon McCullum is arguably one of the fittest cricketers the fraternity has ever seen. He is one of the few fielders who could save few runs from fielding. Even though he retired from international cricket in 2015, he continues to play various T20 leagues around the world.

McCullum is currently playing under the leadership of Chris Lynn for Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League (BBL). During the game against Perth Scorchers on February 1, the 37-year-old attempted a brilliant dive to save the boundary which stunned everyone in the crowd.

The incident took place during the 6th over of the 1st innings when Aussie batsman, Cameron Bancroft smashed a fuller length delivery towards the straight boundary line. But, McCullum ran behind the ball and made an outstanding dive to stop the ball from reaching the boundary line. During the replay, the umpires confirmed that there was no contact between McCullum and the boundary rope when he touched the ball.
