Mumbai Indians (MI) didn’t get a smooth start in this season’s Indian Premier League (IPL) as they have faced two losses and only one win in their three matches which they have played so far. They have lost to Delhi Capitals by 37 runs in their first game. Then they won against Royal Challengers Bangalore by six runs and again lost to Kings XI Punjab by 8 wickets. In their fourth game, Mumbai will face the defending champion Chennai in Mumbai. However, to grab two crucial points, Mumbai will surely try hard. On the other hand, Chennai too will try to keep their momentum on.
Mumbai batting’s large part dependent on the captain Rohit Sharma; who is undoubtedly a dangerous batsman in the world cricket and has the ability to win the game single-handedly. However, Rohit has not been in a great form in the ongoing IPL as he scored 14, 48 and 32 in the three matches so far and everyone is expecting to see him in a formidable form.

However, Rohit, on the other hand, is not personally too worried though about his batting. A tweet from Mumbai Indians’ official Twitter account posted a tweet where they quote the captain who said that despite being a big score, he has been connecting the ball well.
“I am enjoying my batting. Yes, I have not got a big score but I’m hitting the ball well. If we play to our potential, we will be able to win this game,” said Rohit Sharma.
However, some players from the side have been performing well so far- like Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and ‘ Quinton de Kock and they are quite confident of performing well against Chennai on Wednesday.

Mumbai and Chennai are arch-rivals in the IPL since the beginning as they both won the title three times. They have played 24 games, including the final of the IPL three times (2010, 2013, 2015) where Mumbai won twice. Meanwhile, Chennai is the defending champion and they won all the three matches they have played so far and they will surely try to carry their winning momentum on.
