The Indian skipper Virat Kohli has always been hated by Australian media as they once even compared him with animals in their Facebook post.

Now an Australian journalist has taken a dig at Kohli. The journalist named Dennis Freedman posted a picture of Kohli cleaning a cricket stadium (as part of a promotional move to promote the part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan last year) and termed him a ‘sweeper’ in the caption.

Freedman tweeted, “Sweepers clean the stadium in readiness for the World XI match.”

It was pretty obvious that the tweet wasn’t received normally by Indian fans and it spread like a wild fire on social media. Even Indian turbanator Harbhajan Singh seems annoyed with the Tweet.

Talking to India Today, Harbhajan said: “It is very stupid of this guy to write something on Virat Kohli or for that matter anyone. You have got to maintain the dignity and understand who we are talking about and you do not need to show anyone down. Let us just respect the fact that we are human beings without putting anyone down.”

Bhajji wants Kohli to completely focus on the upcoming series against Australia, rather than such tweets, he said, “I do not think that Virat needs to respond to everyone because when an elephant walks on the street then there are a lot of dogs that bark.”

When asked about his reaction on Aussie skipper Steve Smith’s comment ahead of the series, Harbhajan said, “I don’t know what Smith means by keeping Virat Kohli quiet, whether he means not giving him runs to score or to keep him from talking verbally when Virat is out in the middle. To be honest, if I was in the Australian squad I would be thinking more about cricket than keeping Kohli quiet.”

He further added, “Obviously they will have to bowl well as Virat is the best batsman in the world. Virat will play a big part in this series but not to forget there are other crucial players who can win games for India.”
