After having started with six consecutive losses, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has finally started winning. They have won their last three games but the chances of qualifying for the playoffs are quite low in response to other teams. However, apart from the big names like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, the name which came into the limelight is Navdeep Saini, the pace bowler. He has performed well in almost every game for RCB,  despite being their defeats.

During their last encounter against Kings XI Punjab at the Chinnaswamy, Saini bowled a brilliant spell in the penultimate over. Punjab needed 30 runs off the final two overs in their 203-run chase. Kohli handed over the ball to Saini and he didn’t let down his team. He dismissed two set batsmen David Miller and Nicholas Pooran and conceding just 3 runs; which helped Bangalore to seal the deal. His captain Virat Kohli also praised him for his performances. He has been named the standbys of India’s World Cup squad and will travel to England with the team.

In the meantime, veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh has also impressed by Navdeep Saini’s bowling. Harbhajan is currently playing for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL. He was also surprised by the fact that the talented pacer didn’t get a place in India’s World Cup squad which was announced on April 15. However, Harbhajan took to Twitter and shared his thought, “#Navdeepsaini The more I see of him, the more I think why he is not there in the World Cup squad.”
