Virat Kohli is all set to cast his vote on May 12 in the ongoing Lok Sabha election. He took to the Instagram and shared a story there on Sunday, sharing his voter ID and wrote, “Ready to vote in Gurugram on the 12th May. Are you?” However, he deleted the story later, possibly because of his personal information leaking out in public. But he again shared another picture of his voter ID with blurred ID No. on Instagram. Virat Kohli is currently busy with his stint with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL).
Along with Haryana, Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are the other states that voting will also be held on May 12. The outcome of the elections will be announced on May 23. However, Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore has officially been out of the ongoing series of IPL, losing 8 matches out of 12.

Earlier, veteran India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin had also requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allow all those cricketers to cast their votes who are playing the IPL matches for their respective franchises.
“Always thought voting is the fulcrum of our democracy and I definitely would like to urge the entire country, each and every one of you from every nook and corner of our country to vote and choose their rightful leader,” he tweeted.
“I would also like to request you Narendra Modi sir to enable every cricketer playing in the IPL to be allowed to cast their votes from whichever place they find themselves at,” he wrote.
