IPL 2019: Kuldeep Yadav Reveals The Player Who Makes Him Nervous

Ahead of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kuldeep Yadav was expected to be one of the crucial players for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). However, he had a pretty tough time in the T20 tournament. He could only pick up four wickets from nine matches at an average of 71.50, was one of the worst bowlers for KKR. His economy rate was as high as 8.66.

Eventually, Kuldeep was dropped from the team ad failed to make a comeback in the squad. The young spinner made his debut in the IPL back in 2016 and has played 40 games in which he notched 39 wickets. The southpaw also had the chance of playing a couple of editions of the tournament under the leadership of the enigmatic Gautam Gambhir, who won the championship for KKR in 2012 and 2014.

However, Kuldeep used to get nervous around  Gambhir in the dressing room. Yadav revealed the same in a Rapid Fire round with ESPNcricinfo. Under Gautam, the 24-year-old plied his trade in 31 games and picked up 35 scalps. It was prior to the 2018 auction when KKR released Gambhir and the veteran was bought by the Delhi franchise.

In the interaction, Kuldeep also named former skipper MS Dhoni, Manish Pandey, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Kedar Jadhav as his best partners to play the online game PUBG in the Indian team. The online game is popular among the youngsters in India and we’ve even seen the cricketers playing PUBG quite often.

Kuldeep also revealed that Shikhar Dhawan is the most lost cricketer he has ever met. Dhawan has been one of the backbones of the Indian setup, especially in ODIs and T20Is. Both Kuldeep and Shikhar are expected to be playing a crucial role for India during the upcoming World Cup, where the Men in Blue start their campaign against South Africa at the Rose Bowl.
