Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has given a green signal to visit Lahore for the third T20 International of three-match series against Pakistan. Just two days ago, 40 Sri Lankan players refused to play in Pakistan and requested their board to change the venue of this match, but Najam Sethi has cleared that match will go according to its schedule. Players and support staff of Sri Lanka also agreed to play at Gaddafi Stadium.

Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur tried to convince visiting team members to play in Lahore, which led them to change their mind. SLC has declared that only players who are willing to take the field in Pakistan will be picked for the T20I series. If everything goes right, this will be a big cheer for Pakistan fans and cricket as Sri Lanka will become the only major team to visit Pakistan since 2009.

PCB head Sethi announced this after coming back from New Zealand, where he was attending ICC’s meeting in Auckland. He, also, tried to contact all the concerned authorities for successfully hosting the match.

Earlier, International Cricket Council (ICC) sent their World XI team to play three-match T20I series against Pakistan in Lahore and a successful hosting boost ICC’s confidence in them. The third T20I is scheduled to play on October 29 in Lahore.
