Warne Weaves Magic Once Again, Stops Gin Production

Australian Cricket great Shane Warne has stopped the production of gin at a distillery that he co-owns in order to make hand sanitizer for hospitals and his citizens for the land down under.

The spin wizard has worn the Baggy Green in 145 Tests for the Australian cricket team. He decided to take this step as a response to  Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s plea. The Australian Prime Minister asked the Australian based companies to stand up and help in any way possible by them during the spiraling coronavirus crisis.

Shane Warne described the current period as  “challenging times” with the world fighting the outbreak  Corona Virus. The spread of the COVID-19 virus has affected around 2,00,000 people across the globe taking away more than 7000 lives.

Warne said on his Instagram page, “This is a challenging time for Australians and we all need to do what we can to help our healthcare system combat this disease and save lives. “I am happy SevenZeroEight has the ability to make this shift and encourage others to do the same.”

Shane Warne in association with 2 prominent surgeons are the co-founders of a company in Australia that have agreed to produce medical-grade sanitizers to 2 Western Austalia hospitals at cost. His company stopped the production of gin earlier and is now completely focusing on producing hand sanitizer with at least 70% alcohol till the time the Corona Virus pandemic settles down.

 

said one of his social media followers gave high compliments to the Australian great by commenting on the spinners tweet. Phillip said, ” If we had more people like you Warnie at the moment thinking of others we would be in a better place Too many businesses looking to find ways to screw people over and line their pockets.”
