The pandemic spread of the Corona virus has to lead to the whole world coming to a halt. Countries all across the world have been completely lockdown and all the citizens of the world are is self-isolation. With nothing much to do, India’s opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been quite active on social media in the recent past few days.
Shikhar Dhawan took to twitter and shared an important message to his fans and to the general public of India. Asking his fellow countrymen to stay safe and healthy, India’s star opener has also requested people to try and help all the animals in this period of crisis. Dhawan sheds light on the point of the stray animals facing issues during this period of lockdown.
In a video shared bu the former SRH skipper, Dhawan is seen saying, “During this lockdown, a lot of animals/birds who were dependent on us for their daily food are now going to go hungry. Humble request to you to put out food/water bowls outside your homes. From the safety of our homes, save some souls.”

Shikhar Dhawan was called back into the Indian team set up for the 3 matches ODI series against South Africa. With the first ODI abandoned without a ball being bowled due to heavy rains, BCCI eventually decided to call off the whole series in the wake of the outbreak of coronavirus in India.
Dhawan had been missing international action for quite a while now as the southpaw missed five-match T20I series and the three-match ODI series during India’s tour to New Zealand. Shikhar had suffered a shoulder injury that he sustained in the third ODI against Australia in January 2020.

Speaking of IPL, the Delhite will soon be seen playing for the Delhi capitals once again, In the previous edition of the IPL season, the star opener scored 521 runs in 16 games that he featured for his home town team last year. Dhawan scored at an aggressive strike rate of 135.67 with an exciting average of almost 35 runs per innings.
