Talking about Kohli, AB said, “That’s what I like about him as a player. He is competitive… No matter which team he plays for, he wants to win, he wants to have an impact on the game and very similar to me although I don’t show it as much as he does on the field.”

RCB had a disappointing season in IPL 2018. While Kohli (530 runs) and de Villiers (480 runs) were in the superb form with the bat as they were the two most runs-scorers for the team in this season, RCB finished at the sixth position in the points table with 12 points. Despite they had a poor start, RCB was very close to reaching the playoffs, but ultimately they just failed to secure that.

Just after the RCB’s campaign finished in IPL 2018, AB stunned the cricketing world by announcing his retirement from the international cricket.
