India opener Abhishek Sharma continued his aggressive approach in the third T20I against the West Indies, producing a spectacular display of power-hitting at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday, October 11. The left-handed batter opened his account with a stunning six off West Indies spinner Roston Chase in the third over of India’s innings.

On the fourth delivery, Chase bowled an 86.9 kph ball outside leg stump, but Abhishek backed away and executed a superb inside-out shot, sending it sailing over the covers for maximum.
Abhishek was not finished yet. He smashed another six off the final delivery of the over, finishing Chase’s second over with two maximums and a boundary as the spinner conceded 18 runs.
West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and elected to field first. India’s opening partnership did not last long, as Sanju Samson departed for three off six deliveries after Shamar Joseph claimed his wicket. The hosts had managed only seven runs from the first 10 balls.
However, Abhishek quickly shifted the momentum. Ishan Kishan joined the attack in the following over, hitting Keemo Paul for three boundaries. Abhishek then targeted Shamar Springer, collecting two fours and a six in the fifth over.
