Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowlers, Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson have pulled out of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. As they have decided to return to Australia mid-way through the IPL for personal reasons, RCB said on Monday. Zampa and Richardson’s decision comes a day after another Australian cricketer at the IPL, Andrew Tye of Rajasthan Royals, returned to Australia, also for personal reasons.

Tweeting about the same, RCB wrote: “Adam Zampa & Kane Richardson are returning to Australia for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of #IPL2021. Royal Challengers Bangalore management respects their decision and offers them complete support.”

None of the players or franchises had said that they have taken the decision after citing the current worsening situation on the Covid-19 situation in India. Covid-19 cases are on the rise at an alarming rate in India as the country battling hard with a deadly second wave of infection with its healthcare systems overwhelmed.

While Zampa was yet to feature for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2021, Richarson played one match and picked up one wicket. After the first 20 matches played in Chennai and Mumbai, the IPL caravan has moved to Ahmedabad and Delhi for the next leg of games. Incidentally, New Delhi is one of the worst-affected cities in terms of Covid-19 caseload.

On Sunday, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja was the man with the golden touch for his team as he single-handedly handed the first loss of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In the first innings, he played a flashy knock of unbeaten 62 off 28 balls including the 37-run final over off Harshal Patel which helped CSK to reach from 154 for 4 to 191 for 4. And then with the ball, Jadeja struck in each of his first three overs.
