Afghanistan is scheduled to host Bangladesh in June this year, which is supposed to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). But the latest news is suggesting that India can host that series.
Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) was in talks with UAE to host this series, but they are not meeting the expected requirements. Thus, Afghanistan may cancel this series to take place there and they can opt to play at their adopted home India.

According to a report in Dhaka Tribune, Afghanistan is likely to host Bangladesh in Dehradun for the limited-overs series. It includes three One-Day Internationals and a couple of T20 Internationals as well. While there is no confirmation from both the boards, it’s likely to be hosted in India.
The series may begin from the first week of June. Star players from both teams will be busy playing in the Indian Premier League during April and May. Thus, both boards don’t want to clash this series with the cash-rich league. Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb Zadran, Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman are among those players.
Chairman of the BCB Cricket Operations Committee remarked that the discussions are still in progress.

When it comes to head-to-head battle, Bangladesh has an edge over ICC’s newest full member. In the five ODI meetings, Tigers came victorious in three of those while the lone T20I too went in their favor.
After that series, Afghanistan will play their first ever Test against India in Bengaluru which will start from June 14 to 18.
