The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 slowly moving towards its business end with almost all the teams having played 12 games so far in the season. While Gujarat Titans remain the only team to officially qualify for the playoffs so far, this season has been one of the best platforms for the youngsters to showcase their talent ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. This season has featured some exciting young players – Ayush Badoni, Tilak Verma, Mohsin Khan, and so on.
Meanwhile, some overseas youngsters have managed to prove their worth in the league as well – Dewald Brevis, Tim David, and Marco Jansen are a few of the names on the long list. The cash-rich league provides overseas players with an opportunity to represent their national side as well.
After the last game of Lucknow Super Giants, former Indian leg-spinner, Amit Mishra tweeted a piece regarding the impressive display by LSG left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan. The leg-spinner went on to confess that Khan can be a replacement for Zaheer Khan.

In his tweet, Amith Mishra wrote: “This is an appreciation tweet for Mohsin Khan. He is hardly bowling any bad balls these days. If he gets proper guidance and training he can easily be India’s left hand pacer. One we are looking desperately after Zaheer Khan.”

Mohsin Khan was not included in the playing 11 of Lucknow during the initial phase of the tournament. He got an opportunity in the last few games of LSG and it is safe to say that the youngster has made it count. The left-arm pacer has managed to scalp a whopping number of 10 wickets in just games. Khan has an unreal economy of 5.19 against quality batsmen.

There is one thing about IPL 2022, every single team has groomed few youngsters. Apart from Delhi and to some extent to RCB and Chennai, all other teams have exciting youngsters. Mine favourites are Tilak Verma and Umran malik, these will for sure play for india in future 🙏
