Andre Russell played another blistering inning yesterday against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) where his unbeaten 48 off 13 left everyone speechless. His power-hitting ability helped Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) once again to register a victory by 5 wickets where Russell became the Man of the Match. On the other hand, RCB first time in the tournament showcased a brilliant batting performance where captain Virat Kohli scored a 49- ball 84 and AB de Villers smashed 63 off 32. However, RCB bowlers failed to restrict Russell in the death overs and his performance liked by everyone.

In-form Russell took his team over the finishing line with five balls to spare. KKR required 53 runs from the last three overs when Russell started his power hitting. He smashed three sixes in the 18th over before hitting Tim Southee in the following over. He hit for four sixes and a boundary off Southee and equalled the game for the Knight Riders in the penultimate over only. Shubman Gill took a single off the first ball in the final over to seal the game.

Russell’s game made everyone praising on social media and former Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Brendon McCullum also joined the list. The veteran cricketer tweeted: “Sheesh! #DreRuss Where can you bowl to him”
