In cricket, pitch invasions are usually harmless, often involving excited fans breaching security for a quick glimpse of their favourite players. But a shocking incident in Maharashtra has taken things to an entirely different level, leaving the cricketing community stunned. In an unprecedented act, a tractor was driven straight onto the field, completely destroying the pitch and forcing a match to be abandoned.

The incident took place on April 12 during the final of the MLA Trophy tournament in Dharangaon, a town in Jalgaon district located over 400 km from Mumbai. What was supposed to be a celebratory finale quickly turned chaotic when a local politician allegedly drove a tractor onto the playing surface, tearing it apart within minutes.
The shocking visuals, which have since gone viral, sow the pitch being churned up, making it unfit for any further play. According to officials, the individual involved serves as the president of the Dharangaon municipal council and was reportedly upset over not being invited to the event.

The match was immediately called off due to safety concerns, as the damaged surface made continuation impossible. The incident has also raised serious questions about security arrangements at local cricket tournaments, especially those involving multiple village teams and large gatherings.
