Anushka Sharma may not be visible in the stands, but she is never far off from her connection to cricket, the sport her husband Virat Kohli plays. Be it in good times or bad, the Bollywood actress has never shied away from cheering her husband, one of the most successful captains of India.
On Wednesday, after Kohli shared some visuals from the memorable match at Seddon Park in Hamilton, Anushka cheered for the Indian team and described the win as “Phenomenal!” The third T20I of the series went down to the wire after the regulation 40 overs saw a tie. In the super over, Rohit Sharma struck smashed a couple of sixes in the last two balls to ensure that India overhauled the target of 18 set by the Kiwis in their super over. Rohit was adjudged the man of the match for his knock of 65 runs in the first innings.

Kohli later shared a picture of the team standing in attention to sing the National Anthem before the game started. His other pictures included himself cheering the teammates after the thrilling win; Rohit hugging his opening partner KL Rahul after smashing the winning six and one of himself at the crease. He captioned it: “That’s how we do it! #NZvIND.”

Hitman Rohit hit a brilliant unbeaten 15 (including two sixes) in the Super Over as India chased down New Zealand’s score of 17 to win the third T20I at Seddon Park and now they are having an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match T20I series on Wednesday.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson followed up his excellent 95 with an unbeaten 11 in the Super Over, but it just wasn’t enough as Rohit and K.L. Rahul (5*) took Tim Southee to the cleaners.
This after the match was tied as the Indian speedster Mohammed Shami came up with a classic last over just when it looked like Williamson would take the Kiwis home with a batting master-class.
