The experienced Indian opening Murali Vijay had a very struggling year in 2018, which was continued in this Test series too. Despite recent struggling performances in Test cricket, many cricket fans were hopeful on Vijay’s return to the big scores during this Test series but he failed massively.

Vijay played only the first two Tests of the series where he scored only 49 runs with the average of 12.25. He scored 11 and 18 in Adelaide Test while he scored 0 and 20 in Perth Test. After these miserable performances, Vijay was dropped and didn’t get any further chance in this series.
