Just prior to India’s first game in the present Australia tour, Australian cricketers are respecting another Indian in-form batsman Rohit Sharma. Recently, the Aussie pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile and the all-rounder Glenn Maxwell have praised the Indian batsman.
The 31-year-old right-handed batsman Rohit Sharma is currently touring with the Indian squad in Australia, where they will play the three-match T20I series, four-match Test series and three-match ODI series between 21 November 2018 and 18 January 2019.

While the tour is going to begin on this Wednesday through the T20I at The Gabba (Brisbane), the Aussie pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile lauded the Indian limited-overs vice-captain and remarked as an unbelievable player. However, he also added that they will challenge him after finding some of his weak points.
Nathan told on Monday, “[Rohit] is an unbelievable player, he’s got a good record all round the world, so he’s definitely a player to watch but we’ve also had success with the new ball as well. I think Dorff (Jason Behrendorff) got him out the last time we played him, hit him on the pad, so we’ll look to do that again early. Big square boundaries here, so we might test him a little bit, he’s a good puller of the ball but he is compulsive as well so we’ll try to get him out there.”

Meanwhile, another Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell also praised Rohit Sharma for his brilliant achievements in the limited-overs cricket.
In a recent interview with directhit.com.au, Maxwell said, “Rohit Sharma is an absolute star in limited overs cricket. Getting multiple double hundreds is no mean feat in ODI cricket.”
Rohit Sharma is the only batsman to play more than one double-century knock in ODI career. While the right-handed batsman has hit three ODI double-centuries, he is also the highest runs scorer in an ODI innings – 264 against Sri Lanka at Kolkata on November 13, 2014.
Talking about that record-breaking 264-run knock, Maxwell said, “I remember watching that innings and just going ‘you can’t stop him’. He seems to have a lot more time than other players.”
Maxwell enjoys Rohit’s ability to handle both the pacers and spinners as well as to play the big shots.
The Aussie all-rounder added, “The game just looks easy when he’s out there batting. I suppose that’s the joy of watching him. He is able to hit the ball wherever he likes and is good against pace and spin. He hits the ball miles when he wants to.”
