Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer, Avesh Khan has been reprimanded for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct after their one-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 15th match of the tournament at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Avesh Khan celebrated LSG’s win by throwing his helmet on the ground.
“Mr Avesh admitted to level 1 offence 2.2 of IPL’s Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction,” read the BCCI statement. “For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.”

RCB skipper Faf du Plessis was fined Rs 12 lakh for his team’s slow over-rate against LSG. The started further added, “As it was the team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, captain Faf du Plessis was fined Rs 12 lakhs.”

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pulled off a nail-biting win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who suffered their second successive defeat in IPL 2023 in a last-over thriller in Bangalore. The host reached a commanding total of 212 in their first innings, thanks to half-centuries from Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell. But Marcus Stonis and Nicholas Pooran’s heroics saw LSG chase it down on the last ball of the game.
