In what turned out to be a high-voltage clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) edged past Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Match 36 of IPL 2025, thanks to some explosive finishing and disciplined bowling. One of the standout moments of the game came when LSG pacer Avesh Khan produced a near-perfect yorker to clean up the in-form Yashasvi Jaiswal in the 18th over.
Jaiswal, who had been in sublime touch recently with scores of 75 and 51, once again played a brilliant hand, scoring 74 off 52 balls with 5 boundaries and 4 sixes. However, his dismissal at a crucial stage halted RR’s momentum.

Despite RR’s control through most of the innings, highlighted by economical spells from Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana—SRH’s lower order turned the tide. Abdul Samad’s sensational cameo (30* off 10) in the final over, aided by half-centuries from Aiden Markram and Ayush Badoni, propelled LSG to a competitive total.
