Bangladesh Cricket Board have given permission to play T20I series against Men in Green in Pakistan but they are insisting to play the Test series on a neutral venue. However, PCB is adamant to host the Test series in their nation only. And, the former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Khan has said that it might cause problems to India.

Pakistan successfully hosted T20I, ODI and Test series against Sri Lanka this year. This was the first time in last one decade that the nation managed to host all the series in the same year. Moreover, the Test format also marked its return in the nation after the horrifying terrorist shoot out after which all the other countries had cut their cricketing ties with Pakistan.

Rashid Khan, the former Pakistan cricketer said that if Bangladesh comes to Pakistan for playing Test series then it might cause problems to India. According to him, men in green will win the important points in the ongoing ICC Test Championship and that will reduce the gap between them and India as well.

“Bangladesh touring Pakistan will cause problems for India because the home side stands a good chance of winning the series. This will reduce the gap in terms of points in the ICC World Test Championship and India probably does not want that to happen. I think the ICC should intervene and ensure that the tour goes ahead,” Rashid Khan said as quoted by The Daily Star.

Wasim Bari, the former wicket-keeper said that Bangladesh has no exact reason to deny playing Test series in the nation. He said that the Tigers are hesitating and it might be because they will lose important points in Test Championship.

“I don’t understand why Bangladesh is hesitating because they will lose important points with regards to ICC World Test Championship. I hope they will visit Pakistan, especially because MCC and other teams are also planning on coming to Pakistan,” former wicket-keeper added.
