Cricketing action around the world was put on hold due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, but it resumed last week with the Test series between England and West Indies. Due to the pandemic, the 2020 edition of the IPL has been indefinitely postponed.

However, several sporting events around the world have returned to action. International cricket also resumed on July 8 when England hosted West Indies for the first match of the three-match Test match of their series.
