Over teh years, cricket has always been a game of margins and the intriguing rivalry between the bat and the ball is what makes the game much more interesting. A bowler has six deliveries in an over and he/she has plenty of time to read the batter’s mind which provides the opportunities to bowl tricky deliveries to outsmart the batter at the best scenes.
On the other hand, we have also seen batters mounting the pressure on the bowlers. It is easy to dominate the bowler by playing aggressive cricket from the word go. This is when the mentality of the bowler is tested but if the batter takes the attack to the cleaners, he/she takes the game away from the opposition.

Recently, the BCCI AGM festival game between BCCI Secretary XI and BCCI President XI exceeded the expectations of the fans. Batting first, BCCI Secretary’s XI posted 128 for the loss of 3 wickets in their quota of 15 overs. Jaydev Shah (retired) was teh highest run-getter as he had amassed 40 runs. Arun Dhumal chipped in with 36 runs to his name.

On the other hand, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly registered one wicket to his name for BCCI President XI. In reply, BCCI President’s XI fell short of the target. They lost the game by a run. Sourav Ganguly top-scored with 35 runs (retired). On the other side of the coin, Jay Shah bowled really well.
