Chaudhary laid pointed out four factors that will determine the workload management in the IPL:

  • Managing the workload of players is crucial. If a player asks for more matches, he will be given more matches to play in the IPL.
  • Selectors to also take a call on the number of matches India’s players from the World Cup squad would play.
  • The opinion of head coach Ravi Shastri and assistant coaches will also be taken into account.
  • The opinions of franchise owners will also be taken into consideration as they have signed deals with the cricketers.

Currently, the Indian team is locking horns with Australia for the five-match ODI series with the second game of the series being played in Nagpur on Tuesday.
