The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has given a clean chit to suspended all-rounder Benjamin Stokes, who was found guilty of affray in a brawl outside a nightclub in Bristol on the eve of 24 September. He did some physical assault to two local young men while saving a gay couple from them and it was caught by a security camera.

This incident forced him to miss the Ashes series Down Under, where his team lost the urn by 4-0 and they felt his absence immensely. But, now he will be available for the selection from tri-nation T20 International series involving Australia and New Zealand apart from England.

Stokes, who missed five Ashes Test match other than ongoing five-match One-Day International series, is very eager to take field having ‘Three Lions’ on his chest, who gave him motivation to do his best for the nation.

After this big announcement, he expressed his eagerness for taking the field on Twitter and tweeted “Representing my country is one of the greatest things that I’ve ever been lucky enough to do, walking out on to the field with the England shirt on is a privilege and a honour.”

He further added in his saying, “I’m extremely delighted to be given this opportunity to do this again. I can’t wait to get back out on a pitch with the 3 Lions on my chest and feeling that pride that we all get and giving everything for the team.”

His last International match came against West Indies on 24th September where he scored a flamboyant half-century. He had a wonderful 2017 with both bat and ball apart from being the vice-captain of the Test team post Alastair Cook’s resignation from the top-post. At the end, he was named in ICC’s Test and ODI team of the year.
