Currently enjoying a fine run in IPL 2025, Bhuvneshwar also opened up about his personal evolution as a cricketer. He revealed that he no longer focuses on long-term goals or targets a return to the national side. Instead, he prefers a present-minded approach, focusing on each match individually and aiming to contribute meaningfully to his team’s campaign.

“I go match by match, tour by tour, or whatever. That’s been my approach in the last few years. I try not to think too far ahead. It helps me stay focused and perform better,” he shared.

The 34-year-old also candidly addressed the injury setbacks that have punctuated his career, especially during big tournaments. While acknowledging the emotional toll, Bhuvneshwar remains philosophical.
