Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans have reason to cheer as veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was seen in full flow at the nets, fine-tuning his signature yorkers ahead of the highly anticipated clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The match, set to be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, could mark Bhuvneshwar’s return after missing RCB’s opening game due to a minor injury.

The 35-year-old pacer, who was snapped up by RCB for a whopping Rs 10.75 crore at last year’s auction, was unavailable for the season opener against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). In his absence, RCB handed an opportunity to Jammu and Kashmir’s Rasikh Salam Dhar. Despite missing their star pacer, RCB pulled off a thrilling win, with Krunal Pandya shining with the ball and Virat Kohli and Phil Salt leading the charge with the bat.

Bhuvneshwar boasts an impressive record against CSK, claiming 13 wickets in 20 innings. He has also taken 7 wickets in 12 innings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, making him a key asset against CSK’s formidable batting lineup. His ability to bowl lethal yorkers in the death overs could provide RCB with the edge they need in what promises to be a high-voltage clash.
