Bhuvneshwar Kumar is part of the Indian squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and the tournament is scheduled to be commencing on October 17 in UAE. India will play their debut game of the tournament against Pakistan on October 24. With just about a week left for the tournament, Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s injury can be trouble for the Indian team.

Manish Pandey is leading the SRH in the game against MI as Kane Williamson and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have both sustained niggle due to which he took the lead for the match. He informed, “My first game as IPL captain. Last-minute call. Kane had a niggle on his elbow, Bhuvi has a niggle too. We would have batted first too. We will look to bowl first and look to give Bombay little chance. I know they are going to come all guns blazing but we are ready.”

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has played 11 games in IPL 2021 in which he has scalped 6 wickets at an average of 55.83 and an economy of 7.97. He struggled to bowl well during the tournament but showed some rhythm in the last few games. In the last match, he defended 13 runs off the final over against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

While SRH is already out of playoffs, Mumbai Indians have an impossible task to defeat SRH by at least 171 run-margin to stand a chance to reach the playoffs. They also need to score 250+ runs while batting first. With such a massive victory, MI will be able to get a better net run rate than KKR and reach the 4th spot in the points table.
