Indian seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar got engaged on October 4 with Nupur Nagar who has been Bhuvi’s family friend for a long time in Noida. Soon after the function, his father revealed that they are just waiting to find a 10-day slot and will finalize the wedding dates.

According to the latest reports of TOI, Bhuvi will be hitched with Nupur Nagar on November 23 in Meerut and the ceremony will take place only in the presence of close friends and family members. Two receptions will take place after the wedding one on November 26 for Bhuvi’s extended family in Bulandshahr, while will be a mega event in New Delhi on November 30 where Bhuvi’s cricketing friends will take part.

Players like Indian skipper Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, his Uttar Pradesh teammate Suresh Raina, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are expected to be present at the reception. Along with the cricketers, BCCI and UPCA’s office bearers will also mark their presence in the reception.

Team India will be in Delhi at the time of the reception preparing for their second Test against Sri Lanka which means Bhuvneshwar’s teammates like Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravindra Jadeja etc will be expected. He has been named in the squad that will embark on a 3-match Test series against Sri Lanka starting from November 16.

Talking to TOI, Bhuvi’s father said,three-Testing will take place in Meerut and it will be attended by family and close friends. But we want Bhuvneshwar’s teammates and members from the Board to also take part in celebrations, which is why we will have a reception in Delhi for them. We are sure everybody will attend it because the entire team will be in Delhi from November 30 for the Sri Lanka series.”

Despite the fact that the family tried their best to avoid a collision with the home matches of Team India, it looks like the pacer will have to miss at least the second Test against Sri Lanka, which is scheduled to be played between November 24-28.
