Chennai Super Kings’ wicketkeeper-batsman N Jagadeesan shined in the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League 2021. He is playing for Chepauk Super Gillies (CSG) in the domestic T20 league and has played a blinder of a knock recently to give CSK fans some joy ahead of the second leg of the IPL 2021, which will take place in the UAE.

In the 6th game of the season between Chepauk Super Gillies and Nellai Royal Kings locked horns at MA Chidambaram Stadium. CSG won the toss and opted to bat first. Jagadeesan came to open the innings along with Kaushik Gandhi, who is also captain of the side.

Jagadeesan didn’t find good support in any of his teammates as they got out one after another. He stood his ground and played some brilliant shots during his knock. He raced up to his fifty and refused to throw his wicket. He good out in the 19th over but he had scored 95 runs by then. He faced 70 balls for those runs and had scored nine fours and five sixes before getting out.

Other than his effort, only Sasidev and Jaganath Sinivas managed to get two-digit scores. CSG ended their innings at 165/7 in 20 overs.

Jagadeesan made his Indian Premier League debut last year in the UAE against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He played five matches last year but got only two opportunities to showcase his batting prodigy. In those two innings, he made good-looking 33 runs on debut and bagged a duck in the other opportunity that he got.
