Chennai Super Kings Gifts Customised Jersey To Kate Cross

England woman cricketer Kate Cross posted a picture on Twitter in which she can be seen wearing a Chennai Super Kings jersey. She also revealed that she was given the jersey by the franchise. Cross has always been known for being an ardent supporter of the Chennai-based franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Cross, who made her international debut for England in 2013, is a right-arm medium-fast bowler also hosts a podcast along with her English teammate Alex Hurtley. She has experience of playing for England in three Test matches, 28 ODIs, and 13 T20Is. The 29-year-old uploaded a picture wearing her CSK jersey.

Kate posted a couple of photos on her official Twitter account, one where she was seen wearing the jersey, while the other picture revealed that the jersey also had her name written on the back. She thanked the franchise for sending the gift. In the past, there have been interactions between her and the franchise, which have happened on Twitter.

Captioning the pictures, Kate Cross tweeted, ” A HUGE thank you to @cskfansofficial and @chennaiipl for sending me my first CSK shirt. When it is safe to start the tournament again, I can #whistlefromhome #Yellove #WhistlePodu #nandri”

During the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and CSK, Kate showed her support to CSK, while her teammate Hurtley was seen supporting RCB. Cross will be seen in action in The Hundred later this year, where she will represent Manchester Originals.

Cross also opined recently about the suspension of the IPL 2021. With the effects of the second wave of the COVID-19 rising in India, the tournament was indefinitely postponed. There has been speculation that the tournament can be expected to resume in September but there is no official news regarding that.

Chennai Super Kings also faced a situation of crisis when three members of their contingent, including bowling coach L Balaji and CEO Kasi Viswanathan, were tested positive with COVID. On Wednesday, it was also revealed that Chennai’s batting consultant Michael Hussey has been tested positive with COVID-19.
