The 13th edition of IPL was scheduled to begin on March 29. However, it is postponed by BCCI for an indefinite period amid lockdown in the country. The chances of IPL happening in 2020 are very quiet slim because of the same. Moreover, the situation continues to worsen in India who has been under lockdown for nearly 2 months. Royal Challengers Banglore fans were hopeful for a successful season but the COVID-19 outbreak flushed all plans down the drain. Unlike their southern counterparts in Chennai Super Kings, RCB has been very poor in the last 2 seasons.
Earlier, the government announced the re-opening of liquor shops in the country and provided some relief to people in such times of crisis.

However, the state government of Chennai didn’t allow such relaxations due to the increasing number in positive cases of COVID-19 infected people. The Tamil Nadu government decided against the relaxations provided by the Modi government in these alarming conditions.
That was not the case in Bangalore where people the government decided to open up liquor shops for the people who are stuck indoors in the pandemic. But surprisingly so, people rushed out like madmen and waited in queues for hours to get liquor. The people of Banglore stepped out to buy liquor in large numbers. The government got record-breaking sales in the amount of liquor sold on the day.
Chennai Super Kings came out and took a dig at the people of Banglore. A post was shared from their official Twitter handle on the same.
