On Tuesday, Imran Khan warned India against taking any drastic step saying they will retaliate. He also demanded “actionable intelligence” from India on the Pulwama attack before taking action against the culprits. The Pakistan PM, who is also the former skipper of the cricket team said India targets  Pakistan every time an incident happened in Jammu and Kashmir and made it its “whipping boy” repeatedly.

Imran received a lot of flak for his six-minute video speech. Members of the Congress also attacked the Pakistani PM saying he was speaking the language of the terrorists and called it “regrettable and shameful”. As per the India Today reports, Chauhan, who played 40 Tests and seven ODIs for India between 1969 and 1981, also asked India to put pressure on the ICC to ban Pakistan out of the World Cup saying it wouldn’t matter much. He said India’s absence, on the other hand, will hit the tournament’s revenue generation.

Meanwhile, various state cricket associations besides the iconic Cricket Club of India (CCI) decided to remove portraits of Imran and other Pakistan cricketers from their stock of photos to protest against the Pulwama attack.
