Earlier in the innings, when Faheem Ashraf of Peshawar Zalmi had hit a six off Aamer Jamal, the same ball boy had attempted a diving catch but unfortunately dropped the chance. A disappointed look clouded his face until Munro stepped in, offering reassuring words and putting an arm around his shoulders.

As fate would have it, the young ball boy spectacularly redeemed himself towards the end of Peshawar’s run chase. Arif Yaqoob lofted a delivery from Rumman Raees for a massive six over deep square leg. The ball seemed destined to clear the boundary until the ball boy flung himself forward and took an incredible catch, much to the delight of the fielding side.

Colin Munro, who had consoled the disappointed boy after his initial dropped chance, couldn’t contain his joy when the catch occurred. The Kiwi cricketer leaped in celebration before rushing towards the young lad, enveloping him in a warm hug and acknowledging his brilliant effort.

Despite Munro’s modest contribution with the bat during Islamabad United’s innings, the team posted a formidable total of 196/4 in 20 overs. Subsequently, they defended their score with ease, securing victory by 29 runs and securing the third spot on the points table, ahead of Peshawar Zalmi. While Islamabad and Peshawar boast rich histories in the PSL, with titles in previous seasons, they continue to strive for elusive championship glory.
