The devastating train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district, claiming the lives of at least 238 people and leaving over 900 injured, has sparked anguish among prominent sportspersons. Over 200 ambulances, 50 buses, 45 mobile health units, and approximately 1,200 personnel are working tirelessly at the accident site. The train crash took place near the Bahanaga Baazar station in Balasore district, situated around 250km south of Kolkata and 170km north of Bhubaneswar. It occurred at approximately 7 pm on Friday, prompting the Railway Ministry to initiate a thorough investigation into the incident.
