K Vinod, a popular fan of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Chennai Super Kings (CSK), created a special wedding invitation card that inspired by CSK’s home match tickets during the IPL.
While CSK is one of the most favourite franchises in the IPL history as it has a huge number of loyal supporters, Vinod took that into another new level.
As he married with G N Sadhana on Wednesday (September 12) in Chennai, his wedding invitation card was inspired by CSK’s home match tickets during the IPL.
CSK shared that on their official Twitter account with that best wishes as the franchise posted, “Wishing the Super fan in Vinod Buddy a very happy married life ahead! The invite is a special #Yellove from the super fan!”

Vinod is a popular CSK fan who has made many CSK videos that went viral on the internet.
Talking about the new initiative, Vinod said according to the CSK website, “Being a Super Fan of CSK and skipper MS Dhoni, I wanted to come up with something unique as my wedding invite. I spoke to a friend who is a graphic designer by profession as well as a big CSK fan, and we zeroed in on this.”
In 2015 IPL, Vinod was awarded an autographed bat by Dhoni.
Vinod added on that, “CSK officials gave me a surprise in 2015, at the conclusion of our last home game, when my name was announced and I was presented with an autographed bat by Dhoni.”
CSK has won three IPL trophies (2010, 2011 and 2018) which are the joint most IPL trophy victories for a franchise (Mumbai Indians has also won three IPL trophies). Moreover, CSK won the defunct T20 Champions League for twice (2010 and 2014).
Despite getting banned for two years in 2016 and 2017, their crazy and loyal fan followings haven’t much depreciated and made their comeback with another IPL trophy victory in 2018.
