The 2019 World Cup is around the corner and only 83 days are left for the biggest tournament in the history of International Cricket to start at England & Wales from May 30 and where India will play their first match against South Africa at Rose Bowl, Southampton.
The Indian playing legend MS Dhoni who has played 341 matches and has scored 10500 ODI runs where he is just 7 runs away from scoring 17,000 International runs which will make him the 6th Indian batsmen to do so. He is an iconic player and a role model for many young generation players.
Although MS Dhoni has not said anything about his retirement officially, many experts have started assuming that Dhoni will retire after the 2019 World Cup and this will be his last home series.

But the former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly has a completely different approach for this situation as he said “Age is never a factor if talent is there” he added that Dhoni can continue after the World Cup if performs consistently, it was the same Sourav Ganguly the Indian skipper who had taken the decision to try MS Dhoni ahead of Dinesh Karthik and it really worked thereafter as we can see how much success Dhoni has brought to the Indian Cricket Team. Sourav Ganguly’s opinion can also be helpful to MSD for making his decision.

Ganguly also showed Support to Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Shikhar Dhawan as he commented that Kohli should continue to bat at number 3 which is his used to position, Coach Ravi Shastri had said that Kohli could bat at No.4 position in the World Cup.
Ganguly wants Dhawan to continue opening and the pair of Dhawan and Sharma should not be broken despite Dhawan’s inability to score big. Dada feels this opening pair is the ideal pair that can give a fast start to India.
He also believes that India can be one of the contenders to lift the World Cup in England this year.
