Notably, Wyatt had participated in the auction in 2023 but went unsold, expressing disappointment at the time. However, this year, the all-rounder’s fortune changed as she found a team, UP Warriorz, in the latest auction. Currently active in the T20I series against India led by Harmanpreet Kaur, Wyatt played a pivotal role in the first T20I at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on December 6, helping England secure a 38-run victory over the Women in Blue.

“I was pretty disappointed last [auction]. But I have completely changed my mind, so now I am just like I have done all I can, had a good summer, performed tonight, so what will be will be. [I] would love to be a part of the next WPL, will see what happens,” Danni Wyatt stated during the post-match press conference.
