Daryl Mitchell Leaves Bio-bubble Of Rajasthan Royals

Under the captaincy of Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals (RR) has been the second most successful side in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. RR finished in the second spot in the points table in the league stage of the tournament as they managed to win 9 games out of 14. They featured in the qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans (GT) but suffered a 7-wicket loss.

Against GT, RR failed to defend a total of 188 as David Miller starred for GT. However, they will be getting another chance to reach the final as they will be facing the winner of eliminator in the qualifier 2. Rajasthan will enter the finals of the IPL 2022 provided they register a victory in the qualifier 2.

Meanwhile, a big development has broken out from the Rajasthan Royals’ camp as their premier all-rounder Daryl Mitchell has been left the bio-bubble and will not be taking any part in the tournament owing to his national commitment. Mitchell will feature in the New Zealand squad for the upcoming Test series against England.

Daryl Mitchell was not part of the starting 11 in the qualifier 1 last night. However, he featured in a couple of matches for Rajasthan so far in the season. Mitchell failed to impress with the bat in both the games.

The New Zealander was unlikely to be part of the Rajasthan’s starting 11 in the Qualifier 2 as well. He could have come in handy if RR misses out on an all-rounder due to injury. The Samson-led side might go with Jimmy Neesham if at all needed.
