Former England fast bowler Stuart Broad has sparked a light-hearted fashion debate after cheekily claiming that football icon David Beckham copied his outfit at Wimbledon 2025. Both stars were spotted in strikingly similar light tan linen suits while seated in the prestigious Royal Box on Centre Court during the tournament’s opening day on Monday.

David Beckham was flanked by England football manager Gareth Southgate, with whom he shared the spotlight—and apparently, the style. Wimbledon’s opening day was a glamorous affair, featuring big names like Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne, the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, and Princess Beatrice.

Yet it was Beckham’s stylish appearance that turned heads—until fans noticed Broad sporting an almost identical ensemble. While commentating during the second India vs England Test at Edgbaston, Nasser Hussain teased Broad about the uncanny outfit similarity. “You copied him, didn’t you?” Hussain joked. Broad, smiling, replied, “I actually think he copied me.”

Recalling an amusing moment from their brief encounter, Stuart Broad shared, “When he walked into lunch, he put his hand out to shake, and he had this big plaster cast or something on his hand. I wasn’t sure how firm to go, so it ended up being a sort of tappy handshake—it was a bit awkward, but a lovely day.”

Beckham, ever the fashion icon, was recently seen in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling, a moment captured by wife Victoria on Instagram. The former England football captain later revealed that he underwent surgery to remove a screw from an old arm injury sustained 23 years ago.

As always, Wimbledon continues to blend world-class tennis with elite fashion—and this time, a little playful banter between two of England’s beloved sportsmen added to the charm.
