David Warner excludes Yuvraj Singh from his all-time IND-AUS IPL XI

David Warner has been one of the most consistent players in IPL history. Captaining the SRH, the Australian opener holds numerous records to his name in the IPL. On Wednesday IPL Superstar and Former Australia vice-captain David Warner decided to entice the cricket fans and shared his all-time IND-AUS IPL XI. Indian players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and former India skipper MS Dhoni make it to Warner’s 11.

Speaking with commentator Harsha Bhogle in an interview decided to name himself and Rohit as openers of his Ind-Aus IPL 11. The Australian has reserved the no 3 slot for current Indian Skipper Virat Kohli.  CSK stalwart Suresh Raina cements the number 4 slot for himself in Warner’s lineup.

The Australian opener has slotted big-hitting all-rounders in Hardik Pandya, and Glenn Maxwell At no.5 and no.6. Following up after the all-rounders is India wicketkeeper and CSK skipper M.S. Dhoni who comes in at no.7. Warner also wants Dhoni to be the wicketkeeper of his team.

Moving onto the bowling department the Australian left-hander decided to have fellow countrymen Mitchell Starc in the lineup. HE decided to pick Jasprit Bumrah and the retired Ashish Nehra to complement Starc. Warner decided to go with the KulCha,’ combination while choosing his spin department.

India veteran Yuvraj Singh is a shock omission from the line-up. During the same, he spoke about the similarities he finds between himself and Kohli. “I can’t speak for Virat, obviously, but it’s almost like we got this thing in us when we go (out to the middle) we need to prove people wrong, prove someone wrong,” Warner said.

“If you’re in that contest, and if I’m going at him for example, you’re thinking, ‘Alright, I’m going to score more runs than him, I’m going to take a quick single on him. You are trying to better that person in that game. That’s where the passion comes from,” he added.
