Rahul and Dhawan are currently in their prime form

Shikhar Dhawan showcased great batting display in the three match Test series against Sri Lanka that fetched him the title of the Man Of The Series. With India missing the services of Murali Vijay and Rohit Sharma, Dhawan and KL Rahul did well to build on partnerships for the team.

Dhawan’s 358 runs in the series – which included two tons, helped him attain his career-best ICC ranking for batsmen – after moving up 10 places to reach 29th position. KL Rahul too attained his best position as he climbed two places to equal his career-best 9th place in the rankings.

Hardik Pandya who was a complete star and a wise selection from Indian side did a great batting display on his debut Test. His maiden one in first-class cricket helped him jump up 45 places to reach 68th position, while Mohammed Shami – up one place and Umesh Yadav – up one place, too moved up the ladder.

Jadeja remains to be the top bowler instead of missing the final Test due to suspension.  Jadeja slipped one point below Shakib after an accumulation of six demerit points resulting in an automatic suspension for the last Test of the series.

Kuldeep moved up 29 slots – now at 58th position and Sandakan gained 16 places to end up on 57th.

In the team rankings, no certain change as Sri Lanka continued to lag behind in the seventh position and India remains number 1 but took a lead of 15 points reaching 215 from South Africa in the second position.
