The young Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has finally managed to bag a lucrative ₹7 crore contract which puts him alongside skipper Virat Kohli and deputy Rohit Sharma in the A+ category when the BCCI’s Committee of Administrators (CoA) announced the Annual Player Contracts for the period from October 2018 to September 2019 late on Thursday night.
Bumrah, who has been one of the most consistent performers for India across all formats in recent times, was awarded the contract to become just the third cricketer in the list. On the other hand, the young wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant was the other player who made significant gains. He has witnessed a phenomenal rise in the past year, pocketed a ₹5-crore annual contract after he was included in the A category.
Former skipper, MS Dhoni has been named in the ₹5 crore A category along with 10 other Team India players.

Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, and Kuldeep Yadav are other players in the A category.
KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya, who received flak for their sexist comments on a popular television show, have been included in the ₹3 crore grade B category. Umesh Yadav and spinner Yuzvendra Chahal are other two in the B category.
Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, Ambati Rayudu, Manish Pandey, Hanuma Vihari, Khaleel Ahmed and Wriddhiman Saha will receive ₹1 crore as they have been included in the C category.

Meanwhile, in the women’s team, Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Poonam Yadav have bagged the ₹50 lakh A category contracts. Ekta Bisht, Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey, Deepti Sharma, and Jemimah Rodrigues will receive ₹30 lakh as they were included in the B category. Radha Yadav, D Hemalatha, Anuja Patil, Veda Krishnamurthy, Mansi Joshi, Punam Raut, Mona Meshram, Arundhati Reddy, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Taniya Bhatia and Pooja Vastrakar were included in ₹10 lakh C grade contracts.
