Jurel’s standout performance began in the first innings when he took a brilliant catch to dismiss opposition skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran, who was struggling at 13 runs. His agility and sharp reflexes have been on full display throughout the match, keeping India A in a strong position. As the game progressed into the second innings, Jurel continued to excel, delivering one of the most remarkable moments of the match.

One of Jurel’s finest efforts came when he removed Yashasvi Jaiswal. Khaleel Ahmed bowled a full delivery down the leg side, and Jaiswal attempted a flick shot. The ball clipped the edge of the bat, and Jurel, with lightning-fast reactions, dived to his right to pull off a sensational low catch. Jaiswal, who managed just 9 runs off 16 balls, was left stunned as he walked back to the pavilion.

But Jurel wasn’t done yet. His next moment of brilliance came with the dismissal of Musheer Khan, who had been a thorn in the side of India A with a brilliant 181 in the first innings.

Facing Akash Deep’s length delivery that angled down the leg side, Musheer attempted a flick but got a thick inside edge. Jurel, diving to his left, completed a one-handed screamer that left the crowd in awe. This wicket put India B on the back foot, and Jurel’s heroics had a significant impact on the match’s outcome.

Despite India A pacers Akash Deep and Khaleel Ahmed picking up three early wickets, reducing India B to 23/3, the game saw a shift in momentum as Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant launched a counter-attack. The duo quickly stitched together a fifty-plus partnership, piling pressure on the opposition with a flurry of boundaries. Sarfaraz’s aggressive 46 off 36 balls set the tone, and though he was eventually dismissed by Avesh Khan, Pant continued to anchor the innings, reaching 30 runs and looking to make a substantial impact before his potential return to the Indian Test squad for the Bangladesh series.
