Rahane, who joined the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during the IPL 2023 auction, made an immediate impact when he was included in the playing XI as a replacement for the injured Ben Stokes. He solidified his position at No.3 by scoring an impressive 299 runs in 10 innings at a remarkable strike rate of 169.89 during the IPL 2023 season.

Dinesh Karthik acknowledged Rahane’s resurgence, stating that the experienced batsman is in a good rhythm and full of confidence, particularly when playing outside of India. He emphasized the significance of the upcoming six to eight months for Rahane’s Test career, highlighting the importance of maintaining his current form.

During a chat with ICC as per the quotes in India Today, Dinesh Karthik said, “I think he has got his mojo back. He is in good rhythm, he is in good confidence, he is always known to do well outside India. It is going to be a very important six to eight months for his career in Test cricket.”

Karthik also commended Rahane’s performances for the Chennai Super Kings, noting the batsman’s positive intent and mental clarity at the crease, which are crucial factors for a successful batter.
