There has been some entertaining cricket action going on across venues in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Having said that when it comes to playing at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, it comes as no surprise that a plethora of things happen on the field, both the good and bad sides of it. In the ongoing 54th match of the season, the veteran Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik wasn’t keeping wickets against Mumbai Indians (MI).
After deciding to field first, MI successfully restricted the visitors to 199/6. After losing two wickets early, RCB recovered courtesy of brilliant fifties from skipper Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell. At one stage, after 14 overs RCB was reeling at 145/4.

In the event so far, his bat has remained silent but today the veteran keeper-batter came up good at the Wankhede. In the 18th over, he smashed Kartikeya for 15 runs to take his side past the 180-run mark. Although, he was looking good with the bat the veteran batter looked pale and unwell while getting back to the pavilion post and getting dismissed to Chris Jordan.

Dinesh Karthik was seen vomiting and that is why later on he did not come out to do the glovework for RCB. In totality, he got back into the much-needed form and scored a brisk 30 runs off 17 balls to bail his side from a below-par score at the venue. During his innings Karthik smacked four boundaries and a six, respectively.
