The veteran Indian wicket-keeper batsman, Dinesh Karthik, who was plying his trade for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the indefinitely suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is celebrating his 36th birthday on Tuesday, and fans and his teammates have wished him on the occasion. The star batsman was recently seen in the postponed season of IPL 2021 wherein he accumulated 123 runs in 7 innings.
Dinesh Karthik will be next seen when the remaining season resumes from the third week of September. Yuvraj Singh, Shreyas Iyer, Vinod Kambli, Wasim Jaffer, Harbhajan Singh, BCCI, KKR, Mumbai Indians and others have wished the Chennai-bornplayer on Twitter.
While Yuvraj Singh has urged Karthik to “be less hyper this year”, Kambli said that he should not remember just for his Nidahas Trophy heroics. Notably, with 5 runs needed, Dinesh Karthik had managed to smash a six off the last ball versus Bangladesh to hand India the series.
