The veteran cricketers, Dwayne Bravo and Shikhar Dhawan will be eyeing T20 milestones when Delhi Capital (DC) will be eyeing to reach the numero uno position with a win over the table-toppers Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Monday. Veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo of CSK is on the verge of becoming the first cricketer ever to surpass the tally of 550 wickets in T20 cricket.
DJ Bravo is just two wickets away from the historic feat and needs 3 more wickets to overtake Amit Mishra and become the second-highest wicket-taker in IPL history. Veteran leg-spinner Amit Mishra, who is in the DC squad will become the second player to play 100 matches for his team in the IPL.
Mishra needs to take just 5 more wickets in order to become the highest wicket-taker in the history of the lucrative T20 league. DC spinner has taken 166 wickets in his IPL career and is placed 2nd only behind the legendary Sri Lanka fast bowler, Lasith Malinga who has taken 170 IPL wickets.
Shikhar Dhawan is enjoying a purple catch in recent times and with another 59 runs, he will become the fourth player to complete 2000 IPL runs for the Delhi-based franchise. DC opener is also 38 runs away from being the second batter after the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper, Virat Kohli to complete 800 IPL runs against CSK.
Both CSK and DC have lost just one match in the UAE leg and were the first two teams to qualify for the playoffs. Rishabh Pant and MS Dhoni would want their teams to finish in the top two as it will give DC and CSK will get two chances to reach the IPL 2021 final.
Under the captaincy of Led by Rishabh Pant, DC has looked determined to complete the job as they suffered a loss in the IPL 2020 final. Like CSK, Delhi too have 18 points from nine wins and three losses from their 12 games.
